Fort Langley Brigade Days Mon. Aug. 1st

This year, Fort Langley is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the re-enactment of the voyageurs paddling down the Fraser River to exchange their furs at the Fort. You are invited to be part of this fun, community event.

We will meet at the Fort at 7:15 a.m. where we will get on the bus that will to take us to Matsqui Trail Park, just west of the Mission Bridge. We will then head down the Fraser, stopping for lunch at Glen Valley Park along the way. At the park, we will don our costumes before continuing down to Fort Langley.

We will arrive on the shore just below the Fort at 1 p.m.where we will be greeted by Fort staff and members of the community. This is a highlight of the B.C. Day celebrations in Fort Langley, and we hope to have a good turnout for this year's event. No paddling experience is
necessary, so friends and family members would be welcome to participate.

The fee is $25.00 for FLCC members, and $35.00 for non-members. For more
information, or to *sign-up, please contact Julie at brigade@fortlangleycanoeclub.ca. We are also looking for a volunteer to help with towing a boat trailer to Matsqui, so please email Julie if you are able to assist with this.
