Cranberry Races

ABOUT THE CRANBERRY RACES

Cranberry Feastival is a tradition in Fort Langley every Thanksgiving weekend. In coordination with the wonderful activities throughout the village, the Fort Langley Canoe Club, Voyageur Division is proud to host the annual Cranberry Races.

These exciting Voyageur races are held on a course in the Bedford Channel with teams of 10 paddlers executing tight turns, hard paddling and exciting finishes. The circular course is approximately 1000 metres. The times from the first morning races are used to place teams in their next race. The afternoon finals include the Pumpkin Drop and the Cranberry Juice Run.

Registration is on a first come basis. Teams need to register early to avoid disappointment. All that a team needs is 10 willing paddlers with a yearning for adventure. It’s a water sport so the races go, rain or shine.
