The Dragon Queens are a fun bunch of outgoing women who love to go out on the water once a week and then go to the Pub for dinner after.
We practice hard and give it our 'all' on regatta day. We have a first place medal from Cultus and also came first in our division at False Creek. We usually finish up around the middle of the teams, and like to attend 4 local regattas each year.
Some of the members are going into their 5th year together and we now have members from other Fort Langley Teams.
This year we had some members who wanted to paddle more than once a week and we were sorry to lose them, but there are so many women out there who want to start Dragon Boating that we had no trouble filling our boat for this season.
We are very fortunate to have such a wonderful group of girls who all get on really well together and love to paddle for "Fun and Fitness" and love to socialize. We don't fundraise but pay our own way and have had sponsorship from the Fort Langley Pub which we really appreciate.
