Chicks Ahoy!
Mondays 5:30pm to 6:45pm
This is an entry recreational team for those who want to have fun on the water with a group of like minded women.
We are a women's recreational team with many paddlers returning for their fourth year. We enjoy the team spirit in the boat and like to laugh a lot as we paddle hard.
Our Captain is Leeann and our coach is Louise (Paddles up Ladies!). We are fortunate to have a couple of steerspersons this year. If you like to steer and want to join us ~ contact Louise (lmeissner@shaw.ca) or Leeann (lvirtue@shaw.ca). You will be a valued member of the team.
We meet at the dock at 5:15 for a warm up and paddle from 5:30 - 6:30pm, then have a team social in the pub after. Regattas this year will be False Creek Women’s , Harrison and Penticton.

We support FLCC club events like our club regatta and dance and other fundraisers. We like to enjoy our time together while being active and raising our athletic ability in the boat. Last year at the Cultus Lake Regatta,
we placed first in our novice division!
We are entering 3 regattas this year: False Creek Women's, Cultus Lake & Steveston. These events welcome families & we love cheering crowds!
Chicks 2010
Although we may have the same name as a team from previous years, we are an entirely new clutch of Chicks!
We are a recreational level team, paddling once a
week and have a wide range of ages and abilities and we will enter a
couple of local regattas.
We expect to work hard to get some exercise
and have plenty of laughs while we're at it!
