Team Owned First Aid Kits

We are doing away with the grungy soggy first aid kits. Each team will be required to supply their own. While it is not mandatory to carry a first aid kit on the boat, it is recommended. The team can decide what items should be in their own safety bag. A list of items in the old first aid kits can be found on the website at

Teams are still required to carry is a list of contact information for each paddler whenever they go out. We suggest several people carry this in their pocket in case someone is away. Also highly recommended is that each paddler carry their own thermal blanket in their pfd (if they have a pocket). Personal contact info could be carried along with the thermal blanket too- especially useful if doing Drop-in, OC or Voyager.

There will be one club maintained First Aid Kit in the tote with the blankets in the storage cage (alias, the chicken coop) for on-dock use. Also a laminated Pull-Out Map with be affixed to each boat for quick and always available reference.

Email Dianne at if you have any questions.

Lock-up that boat!!!

Boat security is everyone's job.  Please make sure that you lock a boat as part of the mooring process.

Bail that boat!!!

We live in a temperate rainforest so rain is a fact of life.  ALL boats need to be bailed on a regular basis and it's something we ALL need to do.  Do your bit.
